Michael Bouhanna is an independent art advisor based in Miami and the founder of Bouhanna Art Advisory.
He has spent fifteen years in the international art market, eleven of them at Sotheby's in Paris, London and New York, where he was Vice President. He advises private collectors, family offices and estates on Modern and Contemporary art.
At Sotheby's he worked across the Contemporary and Modern departments, and in New York established and led the house's Digital Art department, which brought a new generation of collectors to Sotheby's. He founded Bouhanna Art Advisory in Miami in 2026.
He studied at the University of Glasgow and works in English and French.
The advisory is independent. It holds no inventory and acts only in the collector's interest. It works with collectors over the long term, from first acquisitions to the shaping of a collection with real coherence and weight, and brings full diligence on quality, condition, provenance and price to every acquisition.
